I’m Julie Peter, an experienced licensed clinician, a social worker and an educator. I’m passionate about holding space for my clients’ life stories and strongly believe in the insight and freedom that therapy can bring.

I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults struggling with a broad range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, life transitions, and interpersonal dynamics. I also specialize in working with parents, educators, athletes and the LGBTQ+ population.

Therapy works best as a highly collaborative process and we will structure treatment around what is important to you. Together we will build effective strategies to accompany you along your journey of healing and self-discovery.

I work using a variety of clinical approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Systems Therapy. Additionally, I am trained and well versed in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the parenting intervention, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).

I believe that the most important aspect of therapy is building a trusting, open relationship with my clients, and you’ll find my approach is genuine, warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental.

Whether you’re seeking support managing anxiety, navigating life transitions, improving relationships, or if you simply have been feeling out of sorts, I will offer you a non-judgmental space to be heard, and provide support and clarity on your path.

I’m so glad you’re here, let’s get started!
